Hoppy Beaster!!

Okay, so NOTHING ever goes as planned amirite? First, on Saturday I spent a good oh I'd say at LEAST 30 minutes filling about 300 eggs with candies and struggling to keep them away from the kids *mostly Ben* only for Saria to start throwing up around 11:30 that evening. Needless to say, Brad and I didn't get a lick of sleep Saturday night. Sunday morning was rainy, Saria was still feeling a little under the weather (even though she only threw up once she just looked ill and wasn't acting herself) so we didn't even go to church...Instead, we used that time to sleep off the night before (plus I was feeling a little under the weather myself-I'm sure it's directly related to the no sleep thing) When we woke up, Brad called over at Mom's and let them know that we weren't going to make it for dinner because Saria was sick and we weren't sure if it was the flu and didn't want to risk giving it to Grandpa. Needless to say, she STILL looked a little flushed even though she said she felt better. Around four the weather got a little nicer, sun peeked out at us, so I took a shower and took my three full buckets and the box I had of stuffed plastic eggs and went outside to hide them. We thought with having such a large yard that hiding all our eggs wouldn't be a problem...haha yea right!! We STILL ended up basically tossing them on the ground, but that's okay, because the kids had a blast and even Ben caught on after a few minutes, I think he actually got the most eggs. After we were done with the little egg hunt, Brad made the kids Mac and Cheese for dinner and they went to bed soon after. It took about five tries to get Saria out of bed this morning, poor thing, I hope she got enough sleep to recover fully.

Mushroom anyone?

Ok sorry I didn't post this earlier, but I haven't really been feeling well in the energy department and have been extremely lazy lately.

Two nights ago I made an awesome meal which consisted of steak, beef flavored rice, and stuffed baked mushrooms. (For all you mushroom lovers I bought fresh mushrooms, removed the stalks, chopped the stalks up with a little bit of onion and garlic, sauted them stuffed the mushrooms with it, and then sauted the mushrooms and then breaded the mushrooms, baked them for 3o minutes and at about seven or six minutes I dumped a whole lot of cheese on them and returned them to the oven) Well as we all know, children aren't too fond of food that tastes good so they opted for a can of ravoli and since one can couldn't possibly feed all three of my children we decided that Ben would eat the real meal since he eats EVERYTHING. I know he doesn't like meat very much so I gave him just the rice and two mushrooms.

After dinner, Saria tells us that Ben has placed one of the mushrooms in the kitchen cabinet that holds the plastics and so since she was lucky enough to find it, she eats it of course. (hey she wanted it) so then later that night, Brad gets ready for work and starts to put his boots on, and he glances over and INSIDE the Tonka truck...is the other mushroom. I thought it was so hilarious...He just casually placed them in different places to "hide" them. (At first as you can imagine, we thought it was another turd) So ya, Ben is quite a youngster.

Saria's Spring Concert!!

Yesterday evening we had the privledge of going to Saria's school and seeing her participate in the Spring Concert called George Washington and the General's Dog. She did a wonderful job singing and she even did a LOT of sign language!!! It was a neat experience! Good luck finding which one is her.. Her face is hidden mostly in a lot of them... sorry haha

Ugh, I hate being sick

So yea, for the past three or four days I've had a horrible head cold! My nose, throat, and cough don't even bother me much (though they are annoying), it's the darn feeling I have in my ears!! I feel like my ears have been chewing on gum and they blew a bubble and it won't pop. I feel like they're going to allow me to "fly" at any moment! I think I have an ear infection, more then likely do, as I have been a little more dizzy then usual ;)
I know this is totally off topic but I found the neatest thing yesterday. An owl pellet!! I hope the owl sticks around until our mole problem is taken care of. I wanted to get rid of them humanely after all. I consider this method necessary for the life cycle, and it's really not like it's MY pellet so I'm OK with an owl eating them. I DID take two sticks and open up the pellet and I showed Saria who was just in awe too. I hope i didn't damage her for life, but I really think she enjoyed it.
Back on topic, I sound like a frog today, and I have to scream to get Brad to understand me, ISN'T THAT JUST THE WORST THING EVER!?!? My throat is already in peril, I have no energy whatsoever to even say it once, and I gotta yell and repeat myself over and over and over. ANNNNNDDDD the bad thing about THAT is half the time he thinks I'm mad because I'm yelling at him. HAHA.
I can do some memory lane randomness too Hila so watch out!!! One night while Brad and I were dating (I was pregnant with Saria) we were in bed (now this is when I have really really bad morning sickness which lasts all day so I'm thank for for a few hours of sleep) Well I wake up because (once again) Brad has either stolen my blanket or shoved it to the bottom of the bed where it does me no good, so I very groggily say "give that thing to me" as I point to the afghan and Brad looks up at me and says "What the persian?" I thought that was the most hilarious thing ever...because a few days ago (this was the time they had the pokemon 3d cards in the Kraft singles cheese packages)we got a "persian" character out of the cheese we opened. Another funny thing about this story is that MOM always called an afghan an African so I think the awesomeness runs in the family!!
Have a good day, I'm sick and have frosted flakes in front of me that are calling my name. :) Love frosted flakes!!

Benna Booter leaves me a present

OK so yesterday I was playing on the computer, and Ben goes upstairs and starts "playing"
Samuel goes upstairs a little while later and tells me that the cat threw up a hairball. So i went upstairs, (napkin in hand) and I get up there and Bens' obviously got a stinky diaper on, so I go over to him..and hes' naked...I found the"hairball" on top of the toybox....ya...it was a turd. I checked the whole room for more presents and I couldn't find any, but I did find a few zigzag trails of pee. I think the kid is trying to tell me he wants to use a big potty...Fun stuff..
